Introduction

Okay, so I'm not really sure who out there is reading this blog...but I'm going to share my story with whoever wants to listen (well read)! When I graduated college about seven years ago I was in good shape! I didn't have a car on campus until my senior year so I walked EVERYWHERE! I really got my exercise in even though I never really did a "formal" workout!

Once I graduated from college I started working, which is a good thing! But, the bad part is that it's a desk/computer job. I sit 90% of my day and I can tell...I've gained about 40 lbs in the last seven years. Yeah, I've tried joining various gyms...I've done Curves, other women's only gyms, the big time gyms...I'm good about going faithfully for the first few months - even a year once - but then life gets busy, my work schedule gets crazy and I can't make it to the gym...so then I fall off the wagon and don't seem to pick back up!

Just over two years ago I married a wonderful man (we'll call him Mr. L)! I thought I was in decent shape when we got married. However I must be happily married because I have continued to put on the pounds! Mr. L has been great, he's been very supportive when I complain or even melt down about my weight. Last year my doctor put me on Lipitor...I have slightly elevated cholestorol...at 29 I should not be on a cholestorol medicine! Mr. L is helping me and encouraging me to keep exercising, cut out the fried foods to help me get off this med.

We've purchased a Wii, with the Fit; I have a Bean, several different workout videos and most recently I've added P90X...I'm hoping that through a combination of these different fitness outlets and better/healthier eating that i can accomplish my goal of losing 37 pounds. I'm inviting you to follow this journey with me. I'll try to post daily on the amount of water drank, number of steps taken (yes, I have a pedometer) and what workout I did - all for the previous day! Also, I'll try to post on what Mr. L and I had for dinner...I hoping that this will all help keep me accountable and aid in my weightloss success.

If you'd like to leave comments, recipes, suggestions...anything! I'm open! Just let me know!
